What was the Savior teaching us when He compared His gospel to living water? In what ways is Jesus Christ’s gospel like “a well of water springing up into everlasting life”? (John 4:14).
The Gospel of Jesus Christ nourishes. It grows within us. He is living, and His doctrine is lively. It gives life, and that abundantly. It satisfies the needs of our spirits and bodies and minds.
It is gentle, pure, simple, readily appreciated and understood by all who will partake, who will participate in His work.
It cleanses, heals, washes away our sins, refreshes us day after day like a cool spring shower.
It flows and lives. It is a Gospel to be lived, experienced, and shared.
It takes the shape of whatever vessel it is placed in. It will fill every corner of our life, and will fit in every soul. Our unique gifts and God-made differences are touched by theiving water. The Gospel is applicable and relevant to all and to each one.
